Using iPad or iTouch to Track Retail Customer Loyalty Program

Have you ever just thrown that loyalty card away from the place you went 5 times and only had two more visits to go but it was just taking up room in your wallet or purse?  Then you go to the place a week later and realize you are only one visit away from the free pizza.  Or you misplace one loyalty card so you start another one, only to find the original 3 weeks later and now you have 2 stamps on each with what should be one more to go……or is it now three?  The truth is those loyalty cards are great to have, but if we saved every loyalty card from all the places we go, our wallets and purses would be full of them. There has to be a better way.  I just stopped saving those cards altogether. When someone asks me if I am a member I say no and no thanks.  It is due to the fact I don't want to  carry something else.  Grocery stores got it right a while back, no card needed, just enter your phone number in the counter device.  That's what I do at Safeway all the time.  Now any retail establishment can use an iTouch or iPad to track loyal customers. Whether you have it at the counter near the register, you put it in the manager's hand or if you are a restaurant put an iTouch in your waiter or waitresses hand.  It's cool, customer's love it, NO MORE CARDS!
